The concept of wellbeing is now part of our everyday life. Nutrition, movement, caring for relationships, the choice of a wellness retreat or a specific treatment, the nourishment of our spirituality... and much more: we are increasingly aware that taking care of ourselves and of our health is an essential ingredient for a fulfilled and happy life.
In the third weekend of September, just before the equinox, the World Wellness Weekend returned and as it does every year, it reminded millions of people at the end of summer of the importance of always including wellness in their good intentions.
On September the 20th, 21st and 22nd, Preidlhof also joined the thousands of facilities and wellness centres promoting activities to regain shape and serenity: a rich program of wellness experiences offered to all guests and employees.
The World Wellness Weekend is a non-profit initiative created to support the third objective of the 2023 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the UNITED NATIONS: to achieve sustainable development it is essential to ensure health and promote well-being for everyone and for all ages.
We all tend to be quite well informed on how to behave to nourish our well-being, but we often struggle to put into practice or maintain a constant routine of what is good for us and for instance end up calling active a life that is little more than sedentary.
The 5 pillars promoted by the World Wellness Weekend can help people to better identify the path to healthy longevity, improving vitality, serenity and community.
Good quality SLEEP supports the immune system and the purification of the body from toxins, improves memory and creativity.
A correct and balanced NUTRITION is worth more than any diet and is essential for the growth and repair of tissues, for the well-being of the immune system and for maintaining good mental health.
Every MOVEMENT, while working, playing, shopping, traveling or participating in recreational activities, contributes not only to keep our body in shape but also to nourish our innate vitality, the necessary spark for transformation.
Do less and be more: this is how we can summarize the need for all of us to regain the AWARENESS that allows us to be calm and govern a life that too often reaches toxic and destructive levels of stress.

And on the days of the World Wellness Weekend, nature and movement have been the protagonists on the first day with the Sunrise Tour on the Merano High Mountain Trail in the Texelgruppe Nature Park with the hiking guide Reinald. And the power of nature again, in the forest bathing & herbal ritual session.
And also some of the special classes specifically created for the Preidlhof wellness retreats such as Face Yoga and Sound bath were included in the three-day programme.
This year's World Wellness Weekend offered yet another opportunity to celebrate our wellbeing.
