Discover the Preidlhof Medical Concept with Dr. Alexander Angerer
As nature approaches winter season and snow covers the mountain peaks, guests take advantage of this time of year to experience the integrative approach of Preidlhof’s transformational wellness retreats.
The human being is a complex system that requires a holistic vision, without losing sight of the uniqueness of each individual. Having a rich variety of practices and knowledge to benefit from is thus a precious resource.
The Preidlhof Medical Concept combines scientific knowledge and complementary medicine with a deep observation of individual dynamics and evidence-based ‚facts‘, to create analyses, treatments and therapy paths designed according to personal health. “The period we are living in shows how complementary medicine plays a key role in maintaining good health: strengthening the immune system and supporting the vital energy allow to regenerate, reactivate and empower ourselves” explains Dr. Alexander Angerer, who receives guests in the Preidlhof Medical Room.
During his studies, Alexander quickly realized that „classical fact-based medicine“ observes many phenomena well however excludes everything that is not measurable. Medical Doctor and Acupuncturist, expert in Complementary Medicine and Psychology, Phytotherapy, Homeopathy, Magnetic Field Therapy (PAPIMI) and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Angerer, since he was a young doctor, has always tried to observe all parts of a situation with the motto „who heals is right“ and thus uses various complementary medical treatments, including those that cannot yet be fully explained by scientific research.
Guests can experience Medical Wellness Sessions in various Preidlhof retreats: the Integrated Healing program, led by Dr. Angerer with a team of senior therapists, offers different tools for a concrete experience of profound and long-lasting transformation.
The investigation and analysis phases are crucial to create a personalized program, observing deficiencies from a physical point of view, as well as possible energetic issues or impact of traumatic events.
ACUPUNCTURE is just one of the techniques of complementary medicine proposed by Dr Angerer. Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is a very effective biofeedback to measure the level of stress and the resilience of various organs in overcoming it. The SLEEP CHECK allows to monitor the quality of sleep and its effects throughout the day for 7 days with a bracelet connected to a sleep medicine laboratory. 360° BODY MEASUREMENT provides a quick and precise reading of body composition, BMI, distribution of fat and lean mass, water and proteins, highlighting the risk coefficient linked to the percentage of fat located at abdominal level. And ULTRASHAL, a tool for Cryolipolysis – the cold therapy – allows the doctor to reshape the figure and dissolve excess fat effectively.
Infusions and supplements based on vitamins and mineral salts to stimulate the immune system and reduce stress are suggested to balance deficiencies highlighted by analyses or to act for preventive purposes. Laboratory tests to evaluate melatonin levels, food intolerances, thyroid function or the intestinal microbiome and specialized consultations to identify the best diet or the most effective way of training based on individual characteristics can be also booked.
Health, rejuvenation and energy recovery: each project of the Preidlhof Medical Spa aims at the healthy reorganization of the body’s vital processes to maintain homeostasis, the state of balance of our dynamic system, which includes body, mind and spirit.
„If you make sure everything stays in balance, then the body has the solid basis to heal itself. The system needs to be supported to stay that way.“
A strong ambassador of prevention, Dr. Angerer is fascinated not least by the opportunity for growth that arises when working in authentic connection with other human beings sharing their precious points of views. All those who seek help are „cooking with the same water“ and reveal invaluable intimate life experiences. Which teach us that more often than we think, as Dr. Angerer says, we need to „ask the impossible so that the possible comes true“.
