Set at the foot of South Tyrol’s Texel Group National Park and close to the charming town of Merano, the wellness resort Preidlhof in Italy is uniquely positioned on the 46° Parallel, where the Mediterranean begins. South Tyrol is Italy’s northernmost province, combining an Austrian past with an Italian present. Discover King Laurin’s Rose Garden, take a dip in glistening Lake Kaltern (the warmest bathing lake in the Alps) and wander around the village of Graun with its Romanesque church tower rising from Lake Reschen. Though, of course, many guests visit Preidlhof and fall in love, without any expectations of leaving the property bar the odd foray into the forest.
